TYNDRUM VILLAGE INFO

The village of Tyndrum, on the west highland way is situated close to the intersection of the A82 to Fort William and the A85 to Oban and the Western Isles.

Tyndrum offers the visitor a Tourist Information Centre, restaurants, coffee shop, petrol station and retail outlets including an outdoor gear store.

Broadband Internet facilities are available in the community hall on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

There are also short community woodland and forest walks from the village.

Bridge of Orchy
A 10 minute drive from Tyndrum on the A82 towards Fort William - Stop here for refreshments at the hotel, stretch your legs and take a picture of the spectacular scenery.

Glen Coe Visitors Centre - Glencoe
A 25 minute drive on A82 north of Tyndrum. A historic site where MacDonald and Campbells clashed.

Dalmally
A 25 minute drive from Tyndrum on A85 to Oban. Historic monument and beautiful view of Loch Awe. A photographic Paradise.

Oban
A 1 hour drive from Tyndrum on A85. Ferry Terminal to Mull and Western Isles. The town offers various shops, restaurants and local amenities. Ganavan Beach with scenic cliff walk.
